The shrine of Hazrat Ali bin Usman Hajveri, popularly known as Data Ganj Bakhsh (RA) gives the soulful title of “Data ki Nagri” to Lahore city. Data Ganj Bakhsh means The Bestower of Treasures; he was called by it due to his endless generosity and kindness towards the less privileged. Originally Data Sahib belonged to Afghanistan and was one of the most influential Sufi preachers of the sub-continent. His shrine is located west of Bhatti Gate in Lahore and always filled with his devotees. He is the author of an iconic book on Sufism “Kashf-ul-Mahjoob” means “Unveiling of the Hidden”. His beautiful large shrine in Lahore keeps on shinning and spreading the mystic vibrations.
