The majestic Darbar Mahal is one of Bahawalpur’s most iconic palaces, built in 1905 under the reign of Nawab Bahawal Khan V. Its architecture is a stunning blend of Islamic, Indian, and European influences, featuring ornate domes, red-brick façades, and intricate jharokas (balconies).

Originally used as a royal court and guest palace, it later became part of the Bahawalpur State’s official residences. The palace’s grand halls, arches, and landscaped surroundings evoke the opulence of the princely era. Though entry is restricted to the public, its exterior remains a favorite for photographers and historians alike.

The Darbar Mahal stands as a symbol of Bahawalpur’s royal heritage, representing elegance, artistry, and the enduring legacy of the former Nawabs.
